Michael Goodin

Michael T. Goodin is the managing attorney at Adelman Law Firm. He has over a decade of experience as a trial attorney, focusing his practice on civil defense in health care and business, including representation of medical providers and long-term care providers, both regionally and nationally. He also provides consulting services to health care professionals and business associates. He actively practices in the areas of general liability, professional liability, premises and employment law.

In his civil defense practice, Michael represents senior services providers along the continuum of care, including skilled nursing, assisted living, behavioral health, home health and hospice litigation. His work includes claims for general negligence, health care liability and regulatory and statutory compliance. He has successfully obtained dismissal of multiple cases, represented nursing homes the survey appeals process at both state and federal agency levels and obtained defense verdicts in a number of complex health care liability cases.

At Adelman Law Firm, Michael manages day-to-day litigation and collaborates on continued development of innovative strategies for the firm’s clients. He is licensed in all state and federal in Tennessee.

Michael is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Memphis Bar Association. He participates in Young at Art with the Dixon Gallery and Gardens, and he volunteers as a judge for various competitions with the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and the Tennessee High School Mock Trial. Michael is a graduate of Mississippi College and the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law.

Michael is married to Jennifer Bellott Goodin and has two children – Evelyn Grace and Jonathan Grey. He loves cooking, eating, physical fitness and spending time with his family, including his dog.
