Rachel Karp brings a strong foundation in legal research, advocacy, and client service to the Adelman Firm. A proud graduate of Rhodes College, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in December 2021, graduating early with cum laude honors. During her time at Rhodes, she was actively involved in student life, serving as Communications Vice President for Hillel and as a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.
Rachel went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2025, graduating in the top third of her class. Her academic achievements were matched by her leadership and service, including membership in the Law Review and the Association for Women Attorneys.
Her legal experience is both broad and deep, with hands-on roles at the Shelby County Circuit Court, Wolff Ardis, Mid-South Immigration Advocates, and the Shelby County Public Defenders’ Office. Across these positions, Rachel developed a reputation for her clear writing, thorough legal analysis, and steadfast dedication to justice—working on cases spanning immigration, family law, and criminal defense.
Rachel is passionate about expanding access to justice and believes in the power of the law to drive meaningful change. Outside the office, she enjoys giving back through volunteer work, exploring Memphis’s vibrant cultural scene, and spending time with her two cats, Goose and Malibu.
